Hemingford Arms
London, United Kingdom
“The Hemmy. The other half of the lyric. "From The Thornhill to The Hemmy" in Louis Dunford's "North London Forever," Arsenal's pre-match anthem at the Emirates. Built in 1855, the oldest traditional pub in Barnsbury, and the inside is unhinged in the best way: Victorian carved mahogany bar with lion heads, etched glass vestibules, and the ceiling festooned with bicycles, musical instruments, old lamps. You name it, it's hanging up there. Famous floral exterior you'll clock from two streets away. Massive projector plus multiple screens, all with sound on. The Thai kitchen does proper Pad Thai between halves. Twenty-minute walk from the Emirates, so it misses the worst of the crush. A pub with genuine soul.”

Oxford Arms
London, United Kingdom
“Camden High Street pub near the market. If you're in NW1 on a match day and can't make it to N7, this is an option. We're thin on details. If you've watched Arsenal here, let us know what to expect.”

Sindercombe Social
London, United Kingdom
“West London outpost on Goldhawk Road in Shepherd's Bush. A long way from N7 but handy if you're on that side of town and need somewhere to watch the match. Screens and sound on for Arsenal. If you know more details about this place, submit an update. We're light on intel.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED
How do I know these pubs actually show Arsenal?
Every pub on here was submitted by a fan who watched a match there. Not scraped from Google, not pulled from some database. A real person sat in that pub, watched Arsenal, and thought "this should be on GoonerPubs." Every submission gets checked before it goes live. If a pub shuts down or stops showing games, fans flag it and it gets pulled.
I’m heading somewhere for a match. Where do I start?
Search by city. Look for pubs marked "Sound On." That means match commentary, not a muted screen in the corner. "Opens Early" is the one to watch if you’re in the US, Asia, or Australia where kickoffs land at stupid o’clock. Always read the description. Fans who submitted the pub usually mention things like whether you need to book, how early to arrive, and where to sit.
A pub on here has closed or doesn’t show Arsenal anymore.
Happens. Pubs change hands, landlords lose interest, TVs get turned off. Hit the "Report an Issue" link on the pub’s page. It’ll get reviewed and either updated or removed. The whole thing only works if fans keep it honest.
Can I add a pub?
That’s the idea. Tap "Submit a Pub." Takes about 60 seconds, no account needed. You just need the name, the city, and enough detail so the next Gooner walking in knows what to expect. Every pub on the site got here because one fan bothered to add it.
How do I update or correct a listing?
If a pub’s details are wrong — hours changed, new address, description needs updating — drop us an email at hello@goonerpubs.com with the pub name and what needs fixing. We’ll sort it within 48 hours. Pub owners: same deal. Email us and we’ll get your listing right.
Why isn’t there a pub in my city?
Because nobody’s submitted one yet. If you know a place where you can actually hear the match and there are other Arsenal fans, add it. You’ll be the reason the next Gooner passing through has somewhere to go instead of watching on their phone in a hotel room.
Is this affiliated with Arsenal?
No. Built by one fan in London who got tired of googling "Arsenal pub near me" and getting useless results. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Arsenal Football Club. Just a Gooner with a laptop and opinions about where to watch the match.
How do you make money from this?
We don’t. No ads, no paywalls, no data selling. Just one fan and a laptop. If the site helped you find somewhere to watch, that’s the whole point.
