Where to Watch Arsenal in Chicago
Short version: The Globe Pub is the home of the Chicago Gooners and it is non-negotiable on a match day. The Globe Pub
1934 W Irving Park Road. Home of the Chicago Gooners, going since about 1999. Arsenal banner in the front room, scarves lining the walls, twenty-plus TVs across three rooms, 45 draft lines. Opens at 6am for early kickoffs. Big matches draw 200+ fans, and after every win the whole crowd pours into the alleyway for a group photo — it is tradition. Annual Goonerpalooza festival in October. If you are ever in Chicago on a match day, this is the one.
Ten Cat Tavern
3931 N Ashland Ave. The quieter alternative — sound on, proper match focus, opens early for morning kickoffs. No food, so grab breakfast first. The regulars know their Arsenal and will not give you grief if you are not singing every chant. The pick when you want to actually hear the game.
The honest take
The Globe for the full Chicago Gooners experience, group photo in the alley included. Ten Cat when you want the same match without the 200-strong scrum. You cannot go wrong either way.
